The stable
The Southern style barn is located in beautiful historic Madison, GA and is proudly owned by Barbara Friedman. Barbara and Alan Friedman purchased the "DuPree Farm", in 2003 and turned it into their dream dressage training facility calling it "After the Fox Farm".
The barn provides a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere and is open to our customer's 365 days year around.
The facility accommodates 23 horses which are hosted in spacious stalls, most of them with their own window and front stall gate for maximum viewing and freedom. All stalls have automatic waterers, overhead fans, rubber mats. An individual storage box is located on the front of each stall.
In addition, the barn boasts 3 grooming stalls, a spacious washstall, laundry room with commercial washer and dryer, a kitchen, restrooms and a secured tack room.
Our classic and tastefully decorated office has computer access and a Wifi network is available to hook onto. An apartment with shower is available to our customers.
The facility provides a large full sized mirrored indoor arena with bleachers over the entire length of the arena which makes the facility suitable for events like clinics and symposiums.
In the past we have hosted big events with reputable names like, Sue Blinks, Henk van Bergen, George Williams and Hubertus Schmidt.
A FEI sized outdoor arena allows riders to practice for competition.
Upon entering the Farm through the main entrance you'll witness a large open gallop field which is used for conditioning- and hacking purposes as well as additional dressage schooling.
Top notch care is provided by our well trained- and qualified staff. Our staff is very consistent and we take pride in the fact that most of our staff members are with us for a long time. There is year around 24 hr. supervision on the property.
All our horses can be turned out daily in individual paddocks. Full board includes an individual feeding program with high quality feeds and hay. Any individual need can be accommodated. A feeding program is customized to your horse's needs in coordination with one of our trainers whose input has been proven to be very beneficial .
The barn's location is ideal with access to Interstate 20 within minutes. Atlanta Hartsfield Airport is just 50 min away. The location is ideally suited to our show season which goes pretty much year around, We don't have to deal with a winterstop, one of the benefits of living in the South. Madison is located central to several show facilitiesclose by like the International Horse Park in Conyers,GA, Poplar Place in Hamilton,GA, and the Dressage Showgrounds Aiken, SC.
